West, Colin

Colin G. West is a theoretical physicist and educator interested in quantum theory and physics pedagogy. He holds a PhD from the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University, where he was also an active participant and instructor for the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, and a national finalist in NASA’s “FameLab” science communication competition. He is currently a teaching postdoc at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he helped design and launch a new “active learning” version of the introductory physics curriculum.
